About El Roble

Rosa began his coffee journey 30 years ago with just a single plot of land and a few pulping machines. Over time, he steadily expanded the farm and refined his production processes. El Roblar Farm is located in the La Peñita community, within the municipality of San Sebastián in the Department of Comayagua. Situated at 1,550 meters above sea level and approximately 20 kilometers from the city of La Paz, the farm has been producing coffee for three decades.

Rosa learned the art of coffee cultivation from his father. Through dedication and hard work, coffee farming enabled him to build his home, provide an education for his children, and purchase a small truck to support his operations.

He applies fertilizer twice a year, following the recommendations provided by the IHCAFE Chemical Laboratory. His key to quality lies in harvesting only fully ripe cherries, pulping them on the same day they are picked, and drying the coffee using solar dryers to prevent contamination and preserve quality.
