This cascara soda is made from Geisha coffee cherries at the renowned Finca Deborah produced by award-winning farmer Jamison Savage.
Deborah’s geisha grows slowly on beautiful, 8 year old trees and at extreme altitude. This allows the coffee to develop its unique and complex flavor profile.
Cascara, which means "husk", "peel" or "skin" in Spanish, is the dried skins of coffee cherries. The pulped skins are then collected after the seeds (aka coffee beans) have been re-moved from the cherries, and finally they are sun-dried before being ready to brew with!
